Excerpts from March 1994 Lowrider Magazine:
"Lowrider enthusiasts are familiar with custom paint and body work from "Big Ed" Madrigal. But for those who aren't, his creations include such nationally known lowrider show cars as "Dressed to kill" Fantasia" Montezuma's Revenge" "Green With Envy" and this spectacular custom 66' buick riviera owned by Ed and Kathy Barton. The car sat for 14 years. Since we had to replace everything to restore it, why not customize it? The custom has been modified, Big Ed removed the hard top, chopped it 4 inches, and made a removable carson top. He decked, shaved, rolled, peaked the hood, shaved the door handles, and added knotched finger pulls instead. And rolled, decked, and shaved the trunk.
Removed all body molding, molded in two frenched antennas , and created twin scoops in the front fenders. With all the custom body work there was no room for error. As a matter of act that was how the car got it's name, there's no room for error no margin for mistake so we decided "Zero Tolerance" would be a fitting name. There was more than 6 gallons of paint and clear and 2 pounds of flake. Suspension was replaced front to back. The front coil springs were cut an inch and a half. Tan carpet on the floor and trunk. Tan leather on the dash console rear and front Firebird bucket seats. Custom rear deck and package shelf. Custom made billet knobs for the carson top. Buick nailhead engine is overborred decked blocked polished and chamfered crank mark1 cam and polished ported and cc'ed heads with hardened valve seats. Holley spread bore carb, 2 1/2 in dual exhaust. Custom made billet air cleaner and pulley and posi traction rear end."
